Ruby Hollow Body
Exprestion, Beauty, Power.
Design
When designing the Ruby, I wanted to combine everything I find fascinating about acoustic guitars—the top construction, string loading, and resonance of a hollow box—with the ergonomics and playability of a modern solid body electric. There's something special that happens when you put some great pickups into a hollow instrument; it adds an organic quality and responsiveness that changes how the guitar interacts with you.
The Ruby is meant to be a responsive and vocal platform, its available in a variety of specifications and aesthetic finishes. Much like my acoustic guitars, the Ruby top is constructed from a solid soundboard, reinforced with spruce bracing. Playability is paramount, I spend an enormous amount of time focused on making these guitars play extremely well.

Ruby’s are most commonly made with a braced spruce top and carved mahogany back and neck.
Along with the great timbers, I try to get the best possible components I can.
These are the same sourced for my acoustics. These high quality materials make for a lighter and stiffer hollow body, allowing for more tonal coloring and giving the guitar that “magic” we are after.
Ryan Demers and the Ruby
I sat Ryan down with the latest Ruby and he played what ever the guitar brought out. Clearly he’s done that sort of thing a lot. Interview and feedback starts around the 5 minute mark.
