Order a custom Guitar

I only build a hand full of guitars each year. I also fill a large portion of my time on repairs.

Most of my guitars are built to order and a significant amount of time to create. An instrument intended to outlive us both, is worth waiting for. Once a guitar is started it will take on average 4-5 months of work before it is shipped. Orders are fulfilled on a first come first serve basis.

The process starts with a little getting to know each-other. I need to learn your needs and your preferences’s and its helpful in this process if you think on that a bit before we start talking.

With the base pricing you get the opportunity to select your tone woods, guitar design, push and pull specifications within a reasonable range. String spacings, Fretboard specs, neck dimensions and intentional voicing are all on the table. Every guitar is unique and we will collaborate to define its aesthetic.

I love hearing my clients creative ideas. Im open to design modifications and sometimes even leaping into completely new territory, under the right circumstances. I hope that you see working with me as an opportunity to explore and play the concept of the instrument.

Base Pricing

Acoustic Guitar Base price - $6,500

Ruby Base price - $3,500

All orders are placed with a non refundable deposit of $1,000-$1,500 per instrument based on the order specification.

Upgrade Options

Premium Tone Woods - I keep a small collection in the shop. If a special piece needs to be sourced it will be given appropriate time to acclimate before use. Im open to pretty much any material that i can safety and responsibly source and process.

Custom Hardware - If you have a particular preference of tuner for example, Im happy to accommodated that.

Custom Inlay - Im open to all sorts of exploration in inlay. Its influence on pricing is a case by case basis. If you have inlay ideas please do not hesitate to propose them, I like to design in-house but I am also open to collaboration with other makers.

Custom Design - If you are up for it, we can build something totally new together. I dream up ideas all the time and I am sure you do too. Im happy to modify existing models or design from the ground up. Keep in mind, new designs often lead to some troubleshooting and head-scratching scenarios. This is not a budget friendly approach but it sure is a fun one.

Storied or Sentimental Material - It could be a special tree, or scrap of a hand written letter, It could be a rock from your fathers farm or stick from the woods you grew up in. If you have any-little bit of anything, that means something to you, that you’d like to incorporate into your instrument, Lets talk about it, Im not making any promises, but its worth having a chat about.
